Ps HW2

Image
I think that this photo would be difficult to Photoshop myself into the tree because of how the face would need to be blended in to the tree to make it look real. One thing that I like about this photo that I could potentially use is how the main part of the image is in very high quality while the background is blurred. This ads a good emphasis to the image and makes it stand out more.  I thought this image was funny because he just gave him less hair instead of editing any of his facial features to make him look more mature. I think that this allusion would be cool to recreate because of how realistic it actually looks.

BW to Color

Image
Artist Statement: I chose to do a photo of me doing an assignment. I chose to do this because using technology is a very important part of my life. For adding color, I didn't really have any specific reasoning for why I chose to put the colors in the places that I did. I more just went with the color groups that I thought had the best colors to work with.

Abstract: The Art of Design

Image
I thought that this image is extremely meaningful for many reasons. Malcolm X is one of the most influential and important people who fought for civil rights and equality across all races. This photo is a tribute to Malcolm X after he died featuring one of his most famous quotes: "Freedom by any means necessary". I took a timer selfie of myself completing this assignment. In the photo, I'm actively interacting with the world around me by typing on my computer. I chose to be typing on my computer because completing work on my computer is a very large and important part of my life.

TagBrush

Image
Artist Statement: The top image is my original black and white logo. The bottom image is the same logo after I used the tag brush feature on Photoshop. Using this feature, I was able to create a mask using multiple different templates that added additional details to my logo.

Ps PL 1

Video 1 One feature that I thought was both interesting and easy to use in this video was the generative fill AI tool that can add or replace parts of the background of an image which could be very useful if there are small things that I would want to change. Another feature on Photoshop that might be a bit harder to master are the negative selection tools to be able to highlight precisely what you want to select. Video 2 One feature that this video talks about is adjustments. This feature seems relatively straight forward yet useful for adjusting various things such as contrast, saturation, etc. This could definitely be a useful feature when working with images to make them look exactly how I want them to. One tool that might be slightly harder to master is the mask feature. Video 3 One feature that this video talks about is labeling layers which is something that is extremely simple but can also be very useful especially with how complex adjusting layers in photoshop can be. Scheck-Poster

Image
Final Poster: Original Image:  Inspiration: Artists Statement: My propaganda poster was to support the idea that people should spend more time outside. To get inspiration, I looked up various propaganda posters including the one above, and I used the vectors generator tool on Illustrator to create a background of a scenic outdoors setting that pops and grabs your attention. I then turned the original selfie into a vector self portrait to show that I am in support of this idea.
